What to Bring to Inpatient Treatment

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for all. Here’s a quick guide on what to bring for your stay.

Essential Items

  • Personal Identification & Documents: Bring your ID and insurance cards so we can help you get started smoothly.
  • Clothing: Choose your most comfortable, everyday wear to relax in during your stay.
  • Toiletries: Basic hygiene products (without alcohol) will help you feel refreshed.
  • Medications: Make sure to pack any prescriptions in their original packaging for a seamless transition in care.
  • Materials to Write Letters: Writing letters is a wonderful way to stay connected. Feel free to bring stationery, an address book, stamps, and pens.
  • Recommended: It’s handy to have a debit/credit card and a small amount of cash for any personal purchases you might want to make during your stay.

Recommended Clothing to Bring

We want you to feel calm and comfortable during your stay, so please bring casual, cozy attire like jeans, t-shirts, dresses, comfy shoes, and jackets. Don't forget snug pajamas, robes, and slippers for relaxation.

Please ensure clothing is respectful—shorts should be mid-thigh, and tops should cover undergarments and not reveal too much skin when sitting or bending.

What Toiletries to Bring

As you prepare for your stay at Restored Life, we encourage you to pack your favorite personal care items for comfort and rejuvenation. Bring essential toiletries like alcohol-free shampoo, toothpaste, and lotion. You may also bring electric razors and small nail tools, which our staff will securely store when not in use.

What to Know About Packing Medication

To support your health and safety, we will manage your medications during treatment. Please bring your prescriptions in original containers for our physician's review. A 72-hour supply is sufficient; we'll handle refills. Sealed packaging for birth control, hormones, and vitamins is accepted, and we will provide essential vitamins or supplements during your stay.

What Not to Bring

To maintain a peaceful environment at Restored Life, please leave certain items at home. Electronics like laptops and smartwatches can be distracting, and clothing with drug or alcohol references should also be avoided.

For safety and comfort, please do not bring over-the-counter medications, herbal remedies, or food; your needs will be fully met during your stay.

Additionally, personal care items like aerosol sprays or sharp objects should be left behind to avoid safety hazards. Limiting these items ensures a supportive space for all patients to focus on recovery.
